What They Need
Educational Excellence: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree (MSN or MHA) is highly preferred to lead this sophisticated unit.
Clinical Authority: At least five years of recent nursing experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience (Charge Nurse or Assistant Manager) in a direct patient care setting.
Licensure & Certifications: Current Texas RN license (or compact), BCLS, and ACLS are required. National certification in specialty practice or administration is expected within six months of hire.
Leadership Mindset: A proactive manager who can oversee IV therapy, surgical site verifications, and emergency responses while fostering an interdisciplinary team environment.
Analytical Skill: The ability to apply the nursing process and scientific judgment to manage evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
