    Registered Nurse – ICU

Hudson, Florida Permanent Full Time Nights | Rotating Weekends

    The Opportunity

Two permanent ICU openings are available at a high-volume, 392-bed Level II Trauma Center on Florida's Gulf Coast. This is a full-time nights position with rotating weekends inside a critical care unit that runs genuine complexity, cardiac, neuro, stroke, and trauma cases moving through the same floor. For an ICU nurse who wants breadth of exposure and a unit that will push their clinical skills, this is a strong fit.

Both positions are permanent and full-time. The schedule runs nights with rotating weekends. With two openings available, there is room to land on a team rather than walk into an already-closed group. Candidates from MICU, SICU, and CSU backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

This facility has operated in the region since 1981 and carries deep community roots alongside serious clinical infrastructure, an accredited Heart Institute, Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and programs in Cancer Care, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery. For nurses focused on long-term professional growth, the patient volume and case complexity here translate directly into résumé depth and a clear path toward charge and clinical leadership roles. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis. Compensation is competitive based on experience.

Requirements: Active Florida RN license, or a valid compact license with Florida licensure obtained within 60 days of hire. Minimum one year of recent ICU experience is required. Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required at hire. ACLS and NIHSS certifications are required within six months of hire or transfer. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills round out the clinical profile this team is looking for.

If the schedule works and the unit sounds like the right environment, apply below or book a brief call. We will walk through the details together.

    Why Hudson?

Hudson sits along Florida's Gulf Coast in Pasco County, roughly 45 minutes north of Tampa. The community offers direct access to the Gulf. Boating, kayaking, fishing, and waterfront dining are woven into everyday life here. The climate runs warm and sunny through most of the year, with mild winters that make outdoor activity genuinely year-round. Nature trails, the nearby Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, and easy access to beaches make Hudson the kind of place where free time actually feels like free time.

For families, Pasco County has invested steadily in its school system, and the area's cost of living undercuts most of the Tampa Bay metro while keeping you connected to everything it offers. Florida carries no state income tax, which adds real value to take-home over a full career. Commutes within Hudson are manageable, and downtown Tampa, with its professional sports teams, arts scene, international airport, and waterfront neighborhoods, is close enough for a night out without the price tag of living there. For anyone weighing a relocation, Hudson delivers a quality of life that is easy to underestimate from the outside.
