The Opportunity
Two permanent ICU RN openings on Florida's Emerald Coast, nights, rotating weekends, inside a 267-bed acute care facility running a full-service critical care program. This is a high-acuity environment with an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery capabilities, and a dedicated pediatric emergency program. If you are an ICU RN who wants scope that matches your skill set and a team that runs toward complex cases rather than away from them, these positions are worth your attention.
Both openings are nights with rotating weekends. The schedule is built for nurses who want consistency: same unit, same team, same patient population, with the clinical depth to keep the work genuinely engaging over the long term.
A night shift differential and case-by-case relocation assistance are available. Benefits are comprehensive: medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health coverage; a 401(k) with a 100% employer match on eligible contributions; paid time off and paid family leave; short- and long-term disability; free counseling and wellbeing support; and tuition assistance through an established nursing school partnership. Student loan assistance and certification support are included as well.
Minimum one year of acute care ICU experience is preferred. Candidates with ED or surgical floor backgrounds will be considered. An active RN license and at minimum an Associate Degree are required. BLS must be current or obtained within 30 days of start; ACLS within 90 days. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification is required within 90 days, and Trauma Nursing Core Course within six months of start.

The Package
Why Fort Walton Beach?
Fort Walton Beach sits on Florida's Emerald Coast, a stretch of Gulf shoreline known for white sand beaches, clear warm water, and year-round outdoor access that is genuinely hard to match elsewhere in the Southeast. The area draws people who want real beach proximity without the density and pace of a major metro. Fishing, paddleboarding, water sports, and coastal trails are all close. Florida has no state income tax, which matters when you are doing the math on a relocation.
Beyond the coastline, the region is livable in a way that holds up day to day. Destin and the surrounding communities offer solid schools, a mix of local dining and culture, and a cost of living that is reasonable compared to most Gulf Coast and Sunbelt markets. Pensacola is roughly an hour to the west; Panama City Beach is a short drive east. Housing ranges from Gulf-front options to quiet residential neighborhoods well-suited for families. For nurses relocating from a higher-cost metro, the combination of lifestyle, climate, and coastal access tends to land well. It is the kind of place that makes more sense once you have actually spent time there.
